OPENING AT L’AUDITORI 2021
7.00 p.m. L’Auditori – Sala Oriol Martorell
Cantatas with Shunske Sato
The most virtuous Bach can be found in his instrumental concerts. They are brilliant, Italian-style works which he composed throughout his lifetime. He adapted, for example, works he had previously written in Köthen in order to be able to include them in his cycle of cantatas in Leipzig. These precise versions will be the ones we will enjoy in the opening concert, performed by Shunske Sato, world-renowned Baroque violin player and current artistic director of the Nederlandse Bachvereniging, the most important institution devoted to Bach in the Netherlands.
