Cantates Cycle (BWV 169 & 49)
Museu de la Música (Sala Teclats) - 08.00 PM
In October 1726, Bach composed several cantatas with brilliant instrumental symphonies in the Italian style. Specifically, these are the cantatas BWV 169 and BWV 49, which begin with inspired movements in concertante form, which we can find again later in the famous concerto for harpsichord BWV 1053.
The solo parts stand out for their virtuosity and beautiful dialogue with the other musicians. We are thus faced with a unique combination of instrumental pieces and sacred music, which we also present 300 years after its premiere.
