Beyond the Suite

Clara Pouvreau is a cellist well known to and really loved by Bachcelona’s audience. On this occasion we will see how she faces the challenge of interpreting a Bach suite and then a piece transcribed from the violin, with all the complexity that this entails. This is accordingly a rare opportunity to enjoy the polyphonic density of a fugue with the cello’s sonority, and to witness the endeavour to move “beyond the suite”.

What’s more, this concert gives all attendees the chance to visit the Casacuberta Marsans collection, formed by a set of over 300 works of Hispanic art, notably including both Gothic and Hispano-Flemish painting and sculpture, and paintings that marked the artistic modernity of the turn of the 20th century.
