Itamar Hildesheim, tenor

Tenor Itamar Hildesheim completed his master’s degree at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where he studied with Prof. Christoph Strehl, Prof. Pauliina Tukiainen, and Prof. Andreas Schmidt. He previously studied at the University of Music and Theatre in Rostock
with Prof. Karola Theill and Prof. Klaus Häger, and studied his bachelor’s degree at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where he studied with Jeffrey Francis and Dr. Ido Ariel.

He has performed in leading European festivals, including the Bach Festival Leipzig, the Thüringen Bach Festival, the Bach25 Festival in Koblenz and LIEDBasel25, where he was a scholarship recipient. At his young age, he already performed at venues such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Thomaskirche and Nikolaikirche (Leipzig), Salzburg Cathedral and the Israeli Philharmoie.

He has collaborated with distinguished artists such as Lionel Meunier, Philippe Pierlot, Peter Whelan, György Vashegyi and Anne Le Bozec. He is a regular guest of the Jerusalem baroque orchestra and of the Mozarteum Vokalensemble.

In the 2025/26 season, he will perform with Le Nuove Musiche at the Slovak Philharmonic, as part of a European tour. He will perform the Evangelist part from Bach’s Christmas Oratory at the Ulm Cathedral and rosery cathedral Berlin as well as record a CD of newly discovered Baroque repertoire with The Jerusalem Baroque orchestra. He will also make his London debut by performing at the SongEasel Song Festival together with pianist Jocelyn Freeman.
