Opening Bach

The project of the Bachcelona Akademie was born with the desire to offer young musicians and singers a space that combines training and experience in a framework of artistic excellence. After having shared the stage and programs with such prominent figures as Ton Koopman, Carlos Mena or Masaaki Suzuki, this year, we once again count on the brilliant artistic direction by Lluís Vilamajó.
To inaugurate the Bachcelona Festival, we propose a program of cantatas of great instrumental richness, with the prominent presence of trumpets and timpani, in which Bach proposes a brilliance in both the vocal and orchestral parts.
