Ferran Mitjans, tenor<\/em><\/h2>\n

In 2005, he began his musical studies of singing and cello at the Escolania de Montserrat under the tutelage of Quim Piqu\u00e9, Eduard Vila and Bernat Vivancos, where he recorded three CDs performing solo roles in the last two. He later joined the Orfe\u00f3 Catal\u00e0 Youth Choir, where he continued to train with the soprano Anna Ollet, taking on soloist roles in the productions of Dido and Aeneas by H. Purcell, the Magnificat by J. S. Bach and Messiah by Handel .<\/p>\n

Despite studying Physiotherapy, he continued his musical studies at the Liceu Conservatory until in 2018 he began his professional career winning the Salvat Beca Bach.<\/p>\n

This opened the doors for him to perform his first solo concerts and to receive lessons from countertenor Carlos Mena, baritone Marcel Boone and soprano Marta Math\u00e9u.<\/p>\n

He then began to work regularly with professional choirs such as the Collegium Vocale Gent, under the direction of Philippe Herreweghe; the Young Chapel and the Royal Chapel of Catalonia, with Jordi Savall; Vox Luminis and Cor Cererols, among others; thus specializing in the Baroque and Renaissance repertoire; and where he has made numerous recordings with the aforementioned choirs, such as Cum Silentio in 2020; as well as major works of the choral repertoire such as Mozart\u2019s Requiem, J.S.Bach\u2019s Christmas Oratorio and Passion according to Saint John (soloist role) and Beethoven\u2019s Misa Solemnis, among others.<\/p>\n
