Considered to be the main disseminator of Bach\u2019s works, Mendelssohn once again performed Matth\u00e4us-Passion in 1829, after almost a century in oblivion. The event had an enormous impact and marked a turning point for the definite recognition of J.S. Bach\u2019s work. Thus, this year\u2019s concerts will consist in a dialogue between both musicians [\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”35px”][vc_single_image image=”6053″ img_size=”full”][vc_empty_space height=”35″][vc_column_text]This watercolour was painted by Mendelssohn himself in 1847 during the summer holidays with his family in Interlaken, Switzerland. It is an exceptional feat for a composer to be able to master another artistic discipline as Mendelssohn did. For this reason we have decided that his brushstroke will also accompany us during this edition of the Bachcelona Festival.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”25px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
[vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces” css=”.vc_custom_1584912158181{background-color: #8dd3cc !important;}”][vc_column offset=”vc_hidden-sm vc_hidden-xs”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1590739082881{padding-top: 6px !important;padding-right: 35px !important;padding-bottom: 6px !important;background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.01) !important;*background-color: rgb(255,255,255) !important;}”] CATI \u00a0CAS\u00a0 I\u00a0\u00a0ENG [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][vc_column_text] BACH \/ MENDELSSOHN’S DIALOGUE [\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20″][vc_column_text]Every space, every room where Bach is sung transforms into a church.
