Llu\u00eds Arratia, baritone<\/em><\/h2>\n

He began his vocal training in Germany, where he was admitted to the Bavarian State Youth Choir. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Performance, specialising in Classical and Contemporary Singing, at ESMUC under Margarida Natividade. During these studies, he took part in masterclasses led by Josep Bros and Wolfram Rieger. He has also worked with Francisco Poyato, Josep Surinyac, Viviana Salisi, Marta Almajano and Assumpta Mateu, among others. In his fourth year, he was awarded the Anna Riera scholarship.<\/p>\n

Among the works he has performed as a soloist are Bach\u2019s Magnificat in D (BWV 243), several of the composer\u2019s cantatas (BWV 56, BWV 61, BWV 89, BWV 115, BWV 132, BWV 140), and the Requiems by Mozart and Faur\u00e9.<\/p>\n

His interest in early music has led him to take part in training projects such as the Bachcelona Akademie in its first three editions. He has also broadened his knowledge through courses taught by Carlos Mena and Eduardo L\u00f3pez Banzo.<\/p>\n

Regarding ensemble and choral experience, he is a member of La Capella Reial de Catalunya under the direction of Jordi Savall. He also collaborates with La Jove Capella Reial de Catalunya, directed by Llu\u00eds Vilamaj\u00f3, and with the ensemble Cantor\u00eda (dir. Jorge Losana). He has sung with the polyphony group Intonationes and with Cor Pedrell.<\/p>\n
